Tour Guide

Cutwater Spirits Tasting Room & Kitchen is currently hiring for another amazing Rock Star to join our team as a part-time Tour Guide.

As our Tour Guide you will have the opportunity to interact with visitors as you show off our fantastic distillery, talk about our award-winning spirits and create a memorable experience.

As our Tour Guide you will:

  • Conduct distillery/tasting tours
  • Engage guests by educating them on our brand, spirits and the distillation process
  • Engage guests through tastings and discussing our award-winning products
  • Ensure our retail shop is clean, organized and well stocked
  • Help customers with bottle and retail merchandise purchases
  • Work with Tasting Room team as needed to bus tables, take orders, run food, etc.

Dishwasher Needed at Cutwater Spirits (Miramar Area)

Cutwater Sprits is currently looking for a new Part-Time Dishwasher to join our growing team!  If you like to work hard while having fun, you’re already halfway there.  We are seeking folks with great attitudes, strong work ethic, and a willingness to jump in where and when needed.  This is a Part-Time position of 3-4 shifts per week.

As our Dishwasher you will:

  • Set up dish pit; ensuring chemicals are properly stocked and connected
  • Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans
  • Place clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in storage areas
  • Other cleaning tasks as needed
  • Minor prep tasks as needed
  • Uphold food safety standards at all times

The right applicants will:

  • Have the ability to work in a high-demand, fast-paced working environment
  • Be able to follow verbal instructions
  • Have the ability to maintain a Food Handler’s certification

Vice President of Marketing

Cutwater Spirits is currently hiring a Vice President of Marketing to join our growing team.

The Vice President of Marketing is the head of Cutwater Spirits’ Marketing Department.  They are responsible for strategizing and implementing the organization’s marketing campaigns, communications/public relations efforts, overall branding and image, merchandizing and customer experiences. The Vice President of Marketing monitors industry trends and spend time analyzing our target consumers.  They continually reevaluate the marketing resources available, propose and implement new marketing solutions and cultivate the company’s image and personality as the industry leader.  They provide inspiring leadership to a team of workers, motivating them to work hard, and set the parameters for brand consistency, image and voice.  The Vice Pressident of Marketing works independently under the loose general guidance of the General Manager of Cutwater Spirits and is a member of the Senior Management Team.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assume overall responsibility for developing and executing the annual marketing plan
  • Manage annual marketing budget effectively and proactively
  • Manage in-house marketing team and agency relationships to execute an exceptional marketing program that consistently brings forward inspired, next-level deliverables.
  • Work closely with the sales team and other internal stakeholders to manage all product launches including: packaging design, legal compliance, PR & media, distributor education and events
  • Collaborate with sales team to create incentive platforms for distributors and identify tactical brand/SKU acceleration initiatives for retail
  • Direct the development and procurement of all POS materials and merchandise for customers, distributors and events
  • Furthers brand culture and personality through direction of experiential team of industry-leading event activations, partnerships and sponsorships
  • Manages brand standards, culture, voice and personality; ensuring that they are accurately reflected in all marketing efforts from media assets to packaging to events
  • Conduct market analysis to identify challenges and opportunities for growth
  • Provide guidance and ideas to organize effective marketing events
  • Lead a team that delivers quality work through strong collaboration and innovative problem-solving approaches through direction, coaching, counseling, and training and development
  • Develop deep understanding and ownership of brand voice and knowledge as it is represented in all facets of marketing including the customer experience

Production

Cutwater Spirits is currently hiring a Production team member to join our growing team.

The Production team member works on packaging lines to complete various tasks necessary to ship finished products from Cutwater Spirits. The Production Team member is responsible for: can-filling machinery, bottle-filling machinery, boxing machinery, pallet wrapping machinery, and other general production operations. This position reports to the Production Manager.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Work on packaging lines (canning and bottling)
  • Use a forklift to move materials and finished products
  • Unload packaging materials from pallets
  • Load finished products onto pallets
  • Maintain cleanliness of the distillery warehouse
  • Follows SOPs to ensure that products are packaged consistently
  • Works closely with the Production Manager to ensure smooth operation of packaging machinery and equipment
  • Performs daily start-up and clean-up procedures on all assigned packaging stations
  • Works with maintenance employees/personnel to assist with equipment problems and troubleshooting
  • Performs daily basic maintenance for machinery
  • Assists in the production records management
  • Works to achieve packaging/distribution short and long-term goals and metrics
  • Adheres to all safety precautions, rules and guidelines

Distiller

Cutwater Spirits is currently hiring for a Distiller to join our growing team in the production of our award-winning spirits and ready-to-enjoy cocktails.

The Distiller is responsible for daily production including mashes, fermentations, distillations, dilutions, barreling, proofing, and the production of non-alcoholic mixers including Bloody Mary mix, and ready-to-enjoy cocktails. They are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall sanitization of distilling equipment and piping. The Distiller also manages daily record keeping of production activities as required by State, Federal, and other certifying agencies.

As our newest Distiller you will:

  • Produce high quality spirits using a variety of stills
  • Produce wort and wash for distillation
  • Produce non-alcoholic mixers and ready-to-enjoy cocktails
  • Clean and sanitize distilling equipment
  • Complete daily distilling/quality logs and documentation
  • Ensure distilling and filtration quality standards are met
  • Manage distilling and CIP timing to ensure shortest cycle times
  • Properly use of PPE and safety protocols for distilling and cleaning
  • Coordinate with QA staff on product checks
  • Maintain a clean and organized distillery and food grade facility
  • Proof and blend spirits to specifications
  • Ensure compliance with Food Safety Systems, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Standard Operating Procedures

Assistant Distiller

Cutwater Spirits is currently hiring for an Assistant Distiller to join our growing team in the production of our award-winning spirits and ready-to-enjoy cocktails.

The Assistant Distiller is responsible for assisting in the daily production including mashes, fermentations, distillations, dilutions, barreling, proofing, and the production of non-alcoholic mixers including Bloody Mary mix, and ready-to-enjoy cocktails. They are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall sanitization of distilling equipment and piping. This position works under the loose general direction of the Distillery Director.

As our newest Assistant Distiller, you will:

  • Assist in the production of non-alcoholic mixers and RTE cocktails
  • Clean and sanitize distilling equipment
  • Implement daily SOPs
  • Ensure distilling and filtration quality standards are met
  • Manage distilling and CIP timing to ensure shortest cycle times
  • Properly use of PPE and safety protocols for distilling and cleaning
  • Coordinate with QA staff on product checks
  • Maintain a clean and organized distillery and food grade facility
  • Ensure compliance with Food Safety Systems, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Standard Operating Procedures

  • Prepare botanicals for gin distillation
  • Verify by instrumentation the proof/% alcohol, color, clarity, sugar content, preservatives, temperatures, and pH on distilled products

Communication/PR Manager

Cutwater Spirits is currently hiring a Communication/PR Manager to join our growing team.

The Communication/PR Manager is accountable for coordinating strategic efforts to develop and grow engagement and awareness across the digital and traditional media ecosystem. They develop strategic media campaigns to drive brand storytelling, engagement, and impressions within a variety of outlets. This position analyzes results against targets and leads the strategy and execution of all consumer-facing paid and owned social media. In addition, they are accountable for providing consistent and on-going content via all digital content channels.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide strategic communications, media counsel, and oversight
  • Manage day-to-day communications external and internal, working with leadership, and marketing teams
  • Develop and manage public relations, communications of initiatives and campaigns, and provide overall support to brand plans and initiatives
  • Create and maintain proactive local and national public relations plan to deliver stories (spirits, people, history, innovation) and support events
  • Manage social media including announcements, programs, and influencer outreach
  • Conceptualize, write, and edit multi-media assets
  • Oversee Media/PR agency planning, spend and support
  • Manage the day-to-day execution of the social media strategy, including scheduling, posting, and community management on all current and other emerging social platforms
  • Build and oversee the monthly content calendar to plan optimized content for each platform and digital touchpoint
  • Develop deep understanding and ownership of brand voice and knowledge as it is represented digitally
  • Own the development and execution of social and digital media strategies against key initiatives including community building, fan growth, brand awareness, and advocacy
