Lead Bartender

Cutwater Spirits is currently hiring for a Lead Bartender to join our growing Tasting Room & Kitchen team.

The Lead Bartender directs daily bar operations and delegates responsibilities to team members. They maintain established operating procedures and implements efforts to continuously improve operations to drive increased revenue and customer experience. Acting as a role model, they partner with the Tasting Room Manager to lead all team members in the quest to provide the highest level of guest services while creating a positive environment for patrons and fellow employees. This position is a Full Time position that works under the direction of the Tasting Room Manager.

As Our New Lead Bartender, You Will:

  • Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, preparing them efficiently, and building a rapport with clientele
  • Handle card and cash transactions, ensuring that all funds in the cash drawer are accounted for at the end of the shift
  • Count bank at end of shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, drop-off receipts, and secure bank
  • Keep an eye on patron intoxication levels and respond appropriately
  • Identify customer issues, and work with management when needed to resolve promptly while maintaining a safe and positive environment
  • Lead bartending staff training, day to day operations, and quality of staff performance to ensure top customer service to all guests
  • Unpack deliveries and stock bar. Change beer kegs
  • Assist with interviewing, hiring, and training bartending staff
  • Display genuine enthusiasm for the brand, products and company mission
  • Provide constructive feedback (including positive and opportunities for development) on staff performance
  • Work with the BOH to bring in local ingredients for cocktail development
  • Responsible for bar orders such as beer, liquor, produce, and inventory
  • Assist with staff communication on any bar changes
  • Assist in the development and execution of SOP’s for the bar program
  • Submit menu edits to Marketing and communicating those edits to team
  • Fulfill any marketing requests such as beverage requests for photos, recipes, etc.
  • Assign and ensure that all opening and closing tasks are completed daily
  • Manage the bar shifts including breaks, labor management, side-work assignment, cleaning, etc.
  • Other duties as requested

Sales Representative, Greater Miami Area

Cutwater Spirits is currently hiring a Sales Representative, Greater Miami Area to join our growing team.

Determined to grow market share in all segments of the business, our Sales Representatives are responsible for growing the company portfolio and engaging consumers through point of sale, shelf assortment, and creative displays at retail accounts. In addition, our Sales Representatives identify new market and business opportunities to increase market share while building and maintain relationships with accounts and retailers. The Sales Representative will work independently under the loose general guidance of the Regional Sales Manager.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Drive sales in off-premise and on-premise retail business
  • Assist with merchandising and the implementation of programming in chain locations
  • Achieve distribution, display space, and shelf placement objectives in off-premise retail accounts
  • Secure menu features, back bar placement, and promotions to bring brand awareness in on-premise retail accounts
  • Increase brand presence in the marketplace by facilitating promotional and tasting events each month

Floor Staff

Cutwater Spirits is currently hiring for a Full Time Floor Staff Lead to join our growing Tasting Room & Kitchen team.

The Floor Staff Lead is responsible for providing leadership on the floor in creating excellent and memorable experiences for our customers as they visit our Tasting Room and Kitchen. They role model for other FOH staff the guest experience including greetings, providing recommendations, taking orders, delivering food and bussing tables.  They tell the story of Cutwater Spirits and share insight into the products and company.  They provide memorable experiences of Cutwater Spirits turning visitors into life-long fans of our company and products.  This position works under the direction of the Floor Manager.

As Our New Floor Staff Lead, You Will: 

  • Greet guests, providing a warm and genuine welcome
  • Ensure that the server stations are adequately stocked with tableware, napkins, and condiments
  • Deliver food and beverages to guests
  • Enter orders to POS system and process payments
  • Answer guest questions regarding recommended items, meal ingredients and preparation
  • Provide guests with instructions on navigating the Tasting Room, taking a tour and making purchases in the retail shop
  • Engage with guests to ensure they’re happy with their experience
  • Act as an extension of management, by developing floor plans, initiating breaks, and delegating necessary tasks throughout the shift for an exceptional guest experience and overall, coordinated team

Cutwater Spirits Tasting Room & Kitchen is currently hiring for another amazing rock star to join our team as a part-time Host.

The Host is responsible greeting customers as they enter a restaurant, giving them menus and explaining the service model. They also handle phone calls and customer queries about the restaurant and menu, and assist various restaurant staff when necessary.  They are the first and last touch point for customers and are responsible for providing memorable experiences of Cutwater Spirits.

Line Cook Needed at Cutwater Spirits (Miramar Area)

Cutwater Spirits is currently looking for new Part-Time and Full-Time PM Line Cooks to join our growing team! If you like to work hard while having fun, you’re already halfway there. We are seeking folks with great attitudes, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to jump in wherever and whenever needed.

Daily Duties, Functions, Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, and vegetables using a variety of kitchen equipment and techniques
  • Know and comply consistently with portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures
  • Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service for our guests
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work station
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff and management to maintain effective product flow
  • Handle, store, and rotate all products properly
  • Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed
  • Opens and closes the kitchen stations properly, assists others, and follows checklists
  • Understands and follows proper rules of hygiene and food safety measures

Quality Technician

Cutwater Spirits is currently hiring a Quality Technician I to join our growing team.

Our new Quality Technician I, performs quality control checks on products during the production cycle to ensure items meet safety regulations and consistent product specifications. The Quality Technician I is involved in the entire course of manufacturing including shelf-life stability. They inspect components prior to processing, analyze products during production, and test finished goods. They support the ongoing lab environment by maintaining glassware, maintaining logs and record books, troubleshooting and resolving problems, and helping with special projects. This position works under the direction of the Director of Quality.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Daily testing and monitoring of fermentations/distillations, production, packaging, and food grade facility
  • Collects samples and runs pre-operation, in-process, and post-operation testing for pH, ABV/proof, color, metals, ATP swabbing, etc.
  • Packaging checks include CO2, O2, fill levels and volumes, labels, code dates, glass deviation, can variations, etc.
  • Record and report testing results
  • Preforms calibration and verification for all laboratory equipment
  • Follow and practice GMP’s, Food Safety, SOPs, and Safety procedures
  • Communicate and promote continuous quality and safety throughout Cutwater
  • Laboratory housekeeping which includes maintaining cleanliness of work space and equipment

Social Media Coordinator

Cutwater Spirits is currently hiring a Social Media Coordinator to join our growing team.

The Social Media Coordinator will be accountable for managing social media content across all Cutwater channels and outlets. This position provides industry standard knowledge alongside social media trend foresight. In addition, the Social Media Coordinator will possess an insightful knowledge of their role’s impact on the marketing goals and campaign execution. The Social Media Coordinator works under the direction of the Communication/PR Manager.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Schedule and maintain communication across all Cutwater social media channels.  This includes – but is not limited to – Facebook and Instagram (including Instagram stories)
  • Work with marketing team to develop strategic monthly content calendar to align with overarching marketing plans
  • Monitor and respond promptly to inbound social media messages from multiple channels and categories
  • Engage with like-minded brands and individuals to increase brand awareness
  • Grow and manage the Cutwater Spirits online community organically and through the execution of sponsored content
  • Utilize industry tolls to develop monthly reporting for analysis
  • Work with Communications/R manager to establish social media KPIs
  • Work closely with the Communication/PR Manager on activating social media strategy, tactics and actions in alignment with the annual marketing plan
  • Report to the Communication/PR Manager with insights gained data pulled from the Cutwater website and social media spaces
  • Develop deep understanding and ownership of brand voice and knowledge as it is represented digitally
  • Provide exceptional customer service to social media inquiries, complaints, etc.
  • Work with Communication/PR manager to develop and execute strategic Cutwater Spirits social media influencer program
  • Package and ship samples for media requests, influencers, etc.

The Right Applicants Will:

  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with specific experience interacting with bloggers and other social media influencers in a creative and compelling way
  • Strong computer skills, including experience navigating the internet and using PC and Windows-based software. Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite a plus
  • Exceptional understanding of managing social media platforms from a brand perspective – including Facebook business manager
  • Understanding and experience working with social media scheduling and analytic tools

The Vice President of Marketing is the head of Cutwater Spirits’ Marketing Department.  They are responsible for strategizing and implementing the organization’s marketing campaigns, communications/public relations efforts, overall branding and image, merchandizing and customer experiences. The Vice President of Marketing monitors industry trends and spend time analyzing our target consumers.  They continually reevaluate the marketing resources available, propose and implement new marketing solutions and cultivate the company’s image and personality as the industry leader.  They provide inspiring leadership to a team of workers, motivating them to work hard, and set the parameters for brand consistency, image and voice. The Vice President of Marketing works independently under the loose general guidance of the General Manager of Cutwater Spirits and is a member of the Senior Management Team.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assume overall responsibility for developing and executing the annual marketing plan
  • Manage annual marketing budget effectively and proactively
  • Manage in-house marketing team and agency relationships to execute an exceptional marketing program that consistently brings forward inspired, next-level deliverables.
  • Work closely with the sales team and other internal stakeholders to manage all product launches including: packaging design, legal compliance, PR & media, distributor education and events
  • Collaborate with sales team to create incentive platforms for distributors and identify tactical brand/SKU acceleration initiatives for retail
  • Direct the development and procurement of all POS materials and merchandise for customers, distributors and events
  • Furthers brand culture and personality through direction of experiential team of industry-leading event activations, partnerships and sponsorships

Production

Cutwater Spirits is currently hiring a Production team member to join our growing team.

The Production team member works on packaging lines to complete various tasks necessary to ship finished products from Cutwater Spirits. The Production Team member is responsible for: can-filling machinery, bottle-filling machinery, boxing machinery, pallet wrapping machinery, and other general production operations. This position reports to the Production Manager.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Work on packaging lines (canning and bottling)
  • Use a forklift to move materials and finished products
  • Unload packaging materials from pallets
  • Load finished products onto pallets
  • Maintain cleanliness of the distillery warehouse
  • Follows SOPs to ensure that products are packaged consistently
  • Works closely with the Production Manager to ensure smooth operation of packaging machinery and equipment
  • Performs daily start-up and clean-up procedures on all assigned packaging stations
  • Works with maintenance employees/personnel to assist with equipment problems and troubleshooting
  • Performs daily basic maintenance for machinery
  • Assists in the production records management
  • Works to achieve packaging/distribution short and long-term goals and metrics
  • Adheres to all safety precautions, rules and guidelines

Assistant Distiller

Cutwater Spirits is currently hiring for an Assistant Distiller to join our growing team in the production of our award-winning spirits and ready-to-enjoy cocktails.

The Assistant Distiller is responsible for assisting in the daily production including mashes, fermentations, distillations, dilutions, barreling, proofing, and the production of non-alcoholic mixers including Bloody Mary mix, and ready-to-enjoy cocktails. They are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall sanitization of distilling equipment and piping. This position works under the loose general direction of the Distillery Director.

As our newest Assistant Distiller, you will:

  • Assist in the production of non-alcoholic mixers and RTE cocktails
  • Clean and sanitize distilling equipment
  • Implement daily SOPs
  • Ensure distilling and filtration quality standards are met
  • Manage distilling and CIP timing to ensure shortest cycle times
  • Properly use of PPE and safety protocols for distilling and cleaning
  • Coordinate with QA staff on product checks
  • Maintain a clean and organized distillery and food grade facility
  • Ensure compliance with Food Safety Systems, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Proof and blend spirits to specifications
  • Prepare botanicals for gin distillation
  • Verify by instrumentation the proof/% alcohol, color, clarity, sugar content, preservatives, temperatures, and pH on distilled products
  • Communicate with various team members about quality issues and enforcing all relevant quality procedures
