Cutwater Spirits is currently hiring an On-Premise Sales Representative, San Diego to join our growing team.

Determined to grow market share in all segments of the business, the On-Premise Sales Representatives are responsible for growing the company portfolio and engaging consumers through point of sale, shelf assortment, and creative displays at on-premise retail accounts. In addition, Sales Representatives identify new market and business opportunities to increase market share while building and maintain relationships with accounts and retailers. The Sales Representative works independently under the loose general guidance of the Director of Sales.

While the company is headquartered in San Diego, CA, this position spends of the bulk of their time in the field.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Drive sales in on-premise retail business.
  • Secure menu features, back bar placement, and promotions to bring brand awareness in on-premise retail accounts.
  • Increase brand presence in the marketplace by facilitating promotional and trade events each month.
  • Strengthen and expand current business partnerships with on-premise retail accounts.
  • Educate and manage the Distributor Sales Teams to ensure they are presenting and executing to Cutwater standards.

The Regional Sales Manager plays a vital role in growing Cutwater Spirits’ market-share by building strong relationships with distributors to achieve optimal sales within a designated geographical area. The Regional Sales Manager leverages analytical and communication skills to develop Sales Representatives and assist with distributor sales forces to execute national marketing and sales strategies. The Regional Sales Manager also works with distributors to achieve stretch targets and ensure compliance in accordance with agreed upon standards.   • Execute national marketing programs to achieve all sales related objectives including volume, share, distribution, and shelf space.
  • Ensure continued success in home and away markets through creating plans to meet volume and distribution goals while holding local sales representatives accountable.

Sales Representative, San Jose

Cutwater Spirits is currently hiring a Sales Representative, San Jose to join our growing team.

Determined to grow market share in all segments of the business, our Sales Representatives are responsible for growing the company portfolio and engaging consumers through point-of-sale, shelf assortment, and creative displays at retail accounts. In addition, our Sales Representatives identify new market and business opportunities to increase market share while building and maintain relationships with accounts and retailers. The Sales Representative will work independently under the loose general guidance of the Regional Sales Manager.

 Responsibilities Include:

  • Drive sales in off-premise and on-premise retail business
  • Assist with merchandising and the implementation of programming in chain locations
  • Achieve distribution, display space, and shelf placement objectives in off-premise retail accounts
  • Secure menu features, back bar placement, and promotions to bring brand awareness in on-premise retail accounts

Cutwater Spirits is currently hiring for Part Time Floor Staff to join our growing Tasting Room & Kitchen team.

The Floor Staff is responsible for providing excellent and memorable experiences for our customers as they visit our Tasting Room and Kitchen. They greet, provide recommendations, take orders, deliver food and bus tables.  The tell the story of Cutwater Spirits and share insight into the products and company.  They provide memorable experiences of Cutwater Spirits turning visitors into life-long fans of our company and products.  This position works under the direction of the Floor Manager.

As our new Floor Staff team member, you will:

  • Greet guests, providing a warm and genuine welcome
  • Ensure that the server stations are adequately stocked with tableware, napkins, and condiments
  • Deliver food and beverages to guests
  • Enter orders to POS system and process payments
  • Answer guest questions regarding recommended items, meal ingredients and preparation
  • Provide guests with instructions on navigating the Tasting Room, taking a tour and making purchases in the retail shop

The Host is responsible greeting customers as they enter a restaurant, giving them menus and explaining the service model. They also handle phone calls and customer queries about the restaurant and menu, and assist various restaurant staff when necessary.  They are the first and last touch point for customers and are responsible for providing memorable experiences of Cutwater Spirits.

Daily Duties, Functions, Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, and vegetables using a variety of kitchen equipment and techniques
  • Know and comply consistently with portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures
  • Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service for our guests
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work station
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff and management to maintain effective product flow
  • Handle, store, and rotate all products properly
  • Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed
  • Opens and closes the kitchen stations properly, assists others, and follows checklists

Distiller

Cutwater Spirits is currently hiring for a Distiller to join our growing team in the production of our award-winning spirits and ready-to-enjoy cocktails.

The Distiller is responsible for daily production including mashes, fermentations, distillations, dilutions, barreling, proofing, and the production of non-alcoholic mixers including Bloody Mary mix, and ready-to-enjoy cocktails.  They are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall sanitization of distilling equipment and piping.  The Distiller also manages daily record keeping of production activities as required by State, Federal and other certifying agencies.

As Our Newest Distiller You Will:

  • Produce high quality spirits using a variety of stills
  • Produce wort and wash for distillation
  • Produce non-alcoholic mixers and ready-to-enjoy cocktails
  • Clean and sanitize distilling equipment
  • Complete daily distilling/quality logs and documentation
  • Ensure distilling and filtration quality standards are met
  • Manage distilling and CIP timing to ensure shortest cycle times
  • Properly use of PPE and safety protocols for distilling and cleaning
  • Coordinate with QA staff on product checks
  • Maintain a clean and organized distillery and food grade facility
  • Proof and blend spirits to specifications
  • Ensure compliance with Food Safety Systems, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Standard Operating Procedures

Production

Cutwater Spirits is currently hiring a Production team member to join our growing team.

The Production team member works on packaging lines to complete various tasks necessary to ship finished products from Cutwater Spirits. The Production Team member is responsible for: can-filling machinery, bottle-filling machinery, boxing machinery, pallet wrapping machinery, and other general production operations. This position reports to the Production Manager.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Work on packaging lines (canning and bottling)
  • Use a forklift to move materials and finished products
  • Unload packaging materials from pallets
  • Load finished products onto pallets
  • Maintain cleanliness of the distillery warehouse
  • Follows SOPs to ensure that products are packaged consistently
  • Works closely with the Production Manager to ensure smooth operation of packaging machinery and equipment
  • Performs daily start-up and clean-up procedures on all assigned packaging stations
  • Works with maintenance employees/personnel to assist with equipment problems and troubleshooting
  • Performs daily basic maintenance for machinery
  • Assists in the production records management
  • Works to achieve packaging/distribution short and long-term goals and metrics
  • Adheres to all safety precautions, rules and guidelines
