Office Admin

Cutwater Spirits is currently hiring an Office Admin to join our growing team.

The Office Admin is responsible for supporting office team in performing a variety of administrative functions including: managing calendars, answering phone calls, providing information, ordering office supplies, and routing mail. Generally, they provide support to our team, assisting in daily office needs and managing our company’s general administrative duties. The Admin works under the direction of the VP, Workforce and Business Solutions of Cutwater Spirits.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Answer and direct phone calls, building database of Q&A as future resource for organization
  • Organize and schedule interviews for hiring managers
  • Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, faxes, and forms
  • Order office supplies, maintain office supply closet, and research new deals and suppliers
  • Complete and submit executive expense reports
  • Provide general support to visitors
  • Maintain the master schedule for Conference Rooms
  • Plan, organize, and take care of logistics as regards to special meetings and other events; determine schedule of activities and provide relevant follow-up; prepare material, equipment, and documentation
  • Print, collate, trim documents and supporting materials for office team
  • Maintain breakroom supplies and organization, coordinating with vendors as needed
  • Mail processing including: gathering, distributing, postage machine maintenance, and outbound mail management
  • Periodic auditing of company information as needed
  • Manage company technology issuing, tracking, and logging
  • Manage lost and found items for Tasting Room & Kitchen
  • Help to organize and maintain office common areas
  • Performing general office clerk duties and errands
  • Organizing travel by booking accommodations and reservations needs as required

Floor Staff Lead

Cutwater Spirits is currently hiring for a Full Time Floor Staff Lead to join our growing Tasting Room & Kitchen team.

The Floor Staff Lead is responsible for providing leadership on the floor in creating excellent and memorable experiences for our customers as they visit our Tasting Room and Kitchen. They role model for other FOH staff the guest experience including greetings, providing recommendations, taking orders, delivering food and bussing tables. They tell the story of Cutwater Spirits and share insight into the products and company. They provide memorable experiences of Cutwater Spirits turning visitors into life-long fans of our company and products.  This position works under the direction of the Floor Manager.

As Our New Floor Staff Lead, You Will: 

  • Greet guests, providing a warm and genuine welcome
  • Ensure that the server stations are adequately stocked with tableware, napkins, and condiments
  • Deliver food and beverages to guests
  • Enter orders to POS system and process payments
  • Answer guest questions regarding recommended items, meal ingredients and preparation
  • Provide guests with instructions on navigating the Tasting Room, taking a tour, and making purchases in the retail shop
  • Engage with guests to ensure they’re happy with their experience
  • Act as an extension of management, by developing floor plans, initiating breaks, and delegating necessary tasks throughout the shift for an exceptional guest experience and overall, coordinated team
  • Acting as a Brand Ambassador, constantly growing/sharing the wealth of knowledge in our brand, spirits, cuisine, and culture for our guests to truly understand Cutwater Spirits

Tasting Room Floor Manager

Cutwater Spirits is currently hiring a Tasting Room Floor Manager to join our growing team.

The Floor Manager oversees the floor staff, hosts, and tour team for our 220+ seat restaurant and bar and retail shop. They maintain high standards of service, health and safety, ensuring the efficient and profitable business performance of the restaurant and the optimal utilization of FOH staff and resources. They provide inspiring leadership to a team of workers, motivating them to work hard, and ensuring positive guest experiences. This position works under the general loose direction of the Tasting Room Manager.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Hire, train, manage, and lead a high performing team, with an emphasis on performance, productivity, and teamwork
  • Maintain an environment focused on safety, cleanliness, and high efficiency
  • Ensure an outstanding guest experience by overseeing presentation, service, and atmosphere

Lead Cook

Lead Cook Needed at Cutwater Spirits (Miramar Area)

Cutwater Sprits is currently looking for new Full-Time Lead Cook to join our growing team! If you like to work hard while having fun, you’re already halfway there. We are seeking folks with great attitudes, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to jump in wherever and whenever needed.

The Lead Cook runs day-to-day kitchen operations by controlling quality of food, labor, inventory of product, and flow of kitchen. They prepare food items according to the recipes. They delegate tasks/jobs to cooks and have a firm understanding of menus/recipes to provide direction and quality control over dishes being prepped in the kitchen. They maintain a clean and sanitary work area. This position works under the direction of the Executive Chef and the Chef de Cuisine.

Daily Duties, Functions, Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, and vegetables using a variety of kitchen equipment and techniques
  • Know and comply consistently with portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures

Tour Guide

Cutwater Spirits Tasting Room & Kitchen is currently hiring for another amazing Rock Star to join our team as a full-time Tour Guide. The Tour Guide is responsible for providing memorable experiences to visitors of Cutwater Spirits. They provide an educational and engaging tour of the facility including a review of the history of Cutwater, the distilling process, a review of our products, and a tasting of certain products (when necessary). The Tour Guide is also responsible for providing customer service within our retail shop.  This includes answering questions, checking out guests, and maintaining the stock levels within the retail shop.

As Our Tour Guide You Will:

  • Describe points of interest around the facility and answer any questions, which requires learning the history of Cutwater Spirits and having detailed product knowledge
  • Monitor the behavior of the group, especially when young children are in it, and ensure everyone remains safe and engaged
  • Answer questions for visitors on the Tasting Room and Kitchen, Distillery, our products, booking events, etc.
  • Provide an educational and entertaining tour experience that not only engages customers but creates fans of our brand
  • Be willing to put own spin (such as making jokes, insightful commentary, story-telling) on the tour to ensure it is entertaining while informative
  • Work with management to share feedback from visitors on additional tour highlights, requested merchandise, and/or tasting room and kitchen feedback

Quality Technician

Cutwater Spirits is currently hiring a Quality Technician I to join our growing team.

Our new Quality Technician I, performs quality control checks on products during the production cycle to ensure items meet safety regulations and consistent product specifications. The Quality Technician I is involved in the entire course of manufacturing including shelf-life stability. They inspect components prior to processing, analyze products during production, and test finished goods. They support the ongoing lab environment by maintaining glassware, maintaining logs and record books, troubleshooting and resolving problems, and helping with special projects. This position works under the direction of the Director of Quality.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Daily testing and monitoring of fermentations/distillations, production, packaging, and food grade facility
  • Collects samples and runs pre-operation, in-process, and post-operation testing for pH, ABV/proof, color, metals, ATP swabbing, etc.
  • Packaging checks include CO2, O2, fill levels and volumes, labels, code dates, glass deviation, can variations, etc.
  • Record and report testing results
  • Preforms calibration and verification for all laboratory equipment
  • Follow and practice GMP’s, Food Safety, SOPs, and Safety procedures
  • Communicate and promote continuous quality and safety throughout Cutwater
  • Laboratory housekeeping which includes maintaining cleanliness of work space and equipment

Social Media Coordinator

Cutwater Spirits is currently hiring a Social Media Coordinator to join our growing team.

The Social Media Coordinator will be accountable for managing social media content across all Cutwater channels and outlets. This position provides industry standard knowledge alongside social media trend foresight. In addition, the Social Media Coordinator will possess an insightful knowledge of their role’s impact on the marketing goals and campaign execution. The Social Media Coordinator works under the direction of the Communication/PR Manager.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Schedule and maintain communication across all Cutwater social media channels. This includes – but is not limited to – Facebook and Instagram
  • Monitor and respond to inbound social media messages from multiple channels and categories
  • Work closely with the Communication/PR Manager on activating social media strategy, tactics, and actions in alignment with the annual marketing plan
  • Report to the Communication/PR Manager with insights gained from routine health checks of the Cutwater website and social media spaces
  • Develop a deep understanding and ownership of brand voice and knowledge as it is represented digitally
  • Provide exceptional customer service to social media inquiries, complaints, etc.

The right applicants will:

  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with specific experience interacting with bloggers and other social media influencers in a creative and compelling way
  • Strong computer skills, including experience navigating the internet, and using PC and Windows-based software
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
  • Strong business writing skills
  • Strong understanding of social media communication styles
  • Strong customer service skills including a sense of urgency, compassion, and a desire to understand

Director of Sales Southeast

Cutwater Spirits is currently hiring a Director of Sales, Southeast to join our growing team.

The Director of Sales plays a vital role in growing Cutwater Spirits’ market-share by building strong relationships with distributors to achieve optimal sales within a designated geographical area. They leverage analytical and communication skills to develop Regional Managers and assist with distributor sales forces to execute national marketing and sales strategies. They also provide inspiring leadership to a team of workers, motivating them to work hard while having fun and passionately sharing the Cutwater Spirits story. The Director of Sales works independently under the loose general guidance of the Vice President of National Sales.

This position will be based out of Atlanta, Georgia.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and manage a high producing sales team for across a large geography
  • Work closely with marketing to achieve all sales related objectives including volume, share, distribution, and shelf space
  • Ensure continued success in home and away markets through creating plans to meet volume and distribution goals while holding local managers accountable
  • Lead a sales team by setting expectations for call frequency, inventory maintenance, display execution, point of sale placements, shelf placement, stock and inventory levels, promotional activities, set up and manage pricing, and follow up on delivery issues
  • Work closely with and manage Control State partners to present new items, set up programming, and build distribution footprint throughout each market if applicable
  • Review target accounts to ensure brands are performing to expectations while establishing incentives to exceed those expectations

The Vice President of Marketing is the head of Cutwater Spirits’ Marketing Department.  They are responsible for strategizing and implementing the organization’s marketing campaigns, communications/public relations efforts, overall branding and image, merchandizing and customer experiences. The Vice President of Marketing monitors industry trends and spend time analyzing our target consumers.  They continually reevaluate the marketing resources available, propose and implement new marketing solutions and cultivate the company’s image and personality as the industry leader.  They provide inspiring leadership to a team of workers, motivating them to work hard, and set the parameters for brand consistency, image and voice. The Vice President of Marketing works independently under the loose general guidance of the General Manager of Cutwater Spirits and is a member of the Senior Management Team.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assume overall responsibility for developing and executing the annual marketing plan
  • Manage annual marketing budget effectively and proactively
  • Manage in-house marketing team and agency relationships to execute an exceptional marketing program that consistently brings forward inspired, next-level deliverables.
  • Work closely with the sales team and other internal stakeholders to manage all product launches including: packaging design, legal compliance, PR & media, distributor education and events
  • Collaborate with sales team to create incentive platforms for distributors and identify tactical brand/SKU acceleration initiatives for retail

Production

Cutwater Spirits is currently hiring a Production team member to join our growing team.

The Production team member works on packaging lines to complete various tasks necessary to ship finished products from Cutwater Spirits. The Production Team member is responsible for: can-filling machinery, bottle-filling machinery, boxing machinery, pallet wrapping machinery, and other general production operations. This position reports to the Production Manager.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Work on packaging lines (canning and bottling)
  • Use a forklift to move materials and finished products
  • Unload packaging materials from pallets
  • Load finished products onto pallets
  • Maintain cleanliness of the distillery warehouse
  • Follows SOPs to ensure that products are packaged consistently
  • Works closely with the Production Manager to ensure smooth operation of packaging machinery and equipment
  • Performs daily start-up and clean-up procedures on all assigned packaging stations
  • Works with maintenance employees/personnel to assist with equipment problems and troubleshooting
  • Performs daily basic maintenance for machinery
  • Assists in the production records management
  • Works to achieve packaging/distribution short and long-term goals and metrics
  • Adheres to all safety precautions, rules and guidelines

Assistant Distiller

Cutwater Spirits is currently hiring for an Assistant Distiller to join our growing team in the production of our award-winning spirits and ready-to-enjoy cocktails.

The Assistant Distiller is responsible for assisting in the daily production including mashes, fermentations, distillations, dilutions, barreling, proofing, and the production of non-alcoholic mixers including Bloody Mary mix, and ready-to-enjoy cocktails. They are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall sanitization of distilling equipment and piping. This position works under the loose general direction of the Distillery Director.

As our newest Assistant Distiller, you will:

  • Assist in the production of non-alcoholic mixers and RTE cocktails
  • Clean and sanitize distilling equipment
  • Implement daily SOPs
  • Ensure distilling and filtration quality standards are met
  • Manage distilling and CIP timing to ensure shortest cycle times
  • Properly use of PPE and safety protocols for distilling and cleaning
  • Coordinate with QA staff on product checks
  • Maintain a clean and organized distillery and food grade facility
  • Ensure compliance with Food Safety Systems, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Proof and blend spirits to specifications
  • Prepare botanicals for gin distillation
  • Verify by instrumentation the proof/% alcohol, color, clarity, sugar content, preservatives, temperatures, and pH on distilled products

This position analyzes results against targets and leads the strategy and execution of all consumer-facing paid and owned social media. In addition, they are accountable for providing consistent and on-going content via all digital content channels.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide strategic communications, media counsel, and oversight
  • Manage day-to-day communications external and internal, working with leadership, and marketing teams
  • Develop and manage public relations, communications of initiatives and campaigns, and provide overall support to brand plans and initiatives

Accounts Payable Clerk

Cutwater Spirits is currently hiring an AP Clerk to join our growing team.

The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for receiving all invoices coming into the company.  They receive the invoices, verify their accuracy, and input them into the system, and generate the payment.  The Accounts Payable Clerk works under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer of Cutwater Spirits.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Receives and processes incoming vendor invoices from e-mail and mail
  • Obtains appropriate invoices approvals from managers
  • Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers utilizing approved criteria
  • Pays vendors by monitoring discount opportunities; verifying federal id numbers; scheduling and preparing checks
  • Resolves purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation.
  • Issues stop-payments or purchase order amendments
  • Ensures credit is received for outstanding memos
  • Maintains historical records by electronically filing documents
  • Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions
  • Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions

The Right Applicants Will:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Experience with QuickBooks and/or Orchestrated Spirits (ERP) a plus
  • Must possess excellent communication skills
