Regional Sales Manager, Los Angeles / Orange County

Cutwater Spirits is currently hiring a Regional Sales Manager based in Los Angeles or Orange Country, CA to join our growing team.

The Regional Sales Manager plays a vital role in growing Cutwater Spirits’ market-share by building strong relationships with distributors to achieve optimal sales within a designated geographical area. The Regional Sales Manager leverages analytical and communication skills to develop Sales Representatives and assist with distributor sales forces to execute national marketing and sales strategies. The Regional Sales Manager also works with distributors to achieve stretch targets and ensure compliance in accordance with agreed upon standards. They provide inspiring leadership to a team of workers, motivating them to work hard while having fun and passionately sharing the Cutwater Spirits story. The Regional Sales Manager works independently under the general guidance of the Director of Sales, California/Pacific Northwest.

While the company is headquartered in San Diego, CA, this position spends the bulk of their time in the field in their assigned market.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Execute national marketing programs to achieve all sales related objectives including volume, share, distribution, and shelf space
  • Ensure continued success in home and away markets through creating plans to meet volume and distribution goals while holding local sales representatives accountable
  • Lead sales team by setting expectations for call frequency, inventory maintenance, display execution, point of sale placements, shelf placement, stock and inventory levels, promotional activities, set up and manage pricing, and follow up on delivery issues
  • Review target accounts to ensure brands are performing to expectations while establishing incentives to exceed those expectations
  • Develop and grow both off and on-premise channels with award winning spirits and mixers
  • Effectively partner with wholesalers – building positive relationships with all key management and decision makers
  • Develop sales forecasts and monthly projections
  • Monitor sales and marketing expenses
  • Develop a high producing sales team
  • Introduce and sell in new items and packages – designing programs to assure a successful launch through the sales force

Host

Cutwater Spirits Tasting Room & Kitchen is currently hiring for another amazing rock star to join our team as a part-time Host.

The Host is responsible greeting customers as they enter a restaurant, giving them menus and explaining the service model. They also handle phone calls and customer queries about the restaurant and menu, and assist various restaurant staff when necessary.  They are the first and last touch point for customers and are responsible for providing memorable experiences of Cutwater Spirits.

As Our Host You Will:

Line Cook Needed at Cutwater Spirits (Miramar Area)

Cutwater Spirits is currently looking for new Full-Time AM Line Cooks to join our growing team! If you like to work hard while having fun, you’re already halfway there. We are seeking folks with great attitudes, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to jump in wherever and whenever needed.

Daily Duties, Functions, Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, and vegetables using a variety of kitchen equipment and techniques
  • Know and comply consistently with portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures
  • Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service for our guests
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work station
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff and management to maintain effective product flow
  • Handle, store, and rotate all products properly
  • Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed

Part-Time Dishwasher

Cutwater Spirits is currently hiring a Part-time Dishwasher to join our growing team.

The Dishwasher is responsible for cleaning pans, pots, dishes, and other elements used in the Tasting Room and Kitchen. They operate the dishwashing machine or wash dishes by hand, and maintain kitchen cleanliness. The dishwasher scrapes, sorts, and stacks dirty dishes, loads them into the dishwashing machine and then adds soap to turn it on. Once the cleaning operation is complete, they unload the dishes and put them in their places to be reused again. The Dishwasher position is fast-paced and is essential for the kitchen to operate at the desired level. This position works under the direction of the Executive Chef and the Chef de Cuisine.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Setting up dish pit; ensuring chemicals are properly stocked and connected.
  • Washing dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans.
  • Placing clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in storage areas.
  • Other cleaning tasks as needed.
  • Minor prep tasks as needed.
  • Upholding food safety standards at all times.

Distiller Lead

Cutwater Spirits is currently hiring for a Distiller Lead to join our growing team in the production of our award-winning spirits and ready-to-enjoy cocktails.

The Distiller Lead is responsible for daily production including mashes, fermentations, distillations, dilutions, barreling, proofing, and the production of non-alcoholic mixers including Bloody Mary mix, and ready-to-enjoy cocktails.  They are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall sanitization of distilling equipment and piping.  The Distiller II Lead also manages daily record keeping of production activities as required by State, Federal and other certifying agencies.  They work as a valuable team member, filling in as needed for the Distillery Director in guidance of day-to-day activities and troubleshooting issues.  This position works under the loose general direction of the Distillery Director.  This position is essential for products manufactured in the distillery and food grade production area.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Produce high quality spirits using a variety of stills.
  • Produce wort and wash for distillation.
  • Produce non-alcoholic mixers and RTE cocktails.
  • Clean and sanitize distilling equipment.
  • Development, review and implementation of daily SOPs.
  • Complete daily distilling/quality logs and documentation.
  • Ensure distilling and filtration quality standards are met.
  • Manage distilling and CIP timing to ensure shortest cycle times.
  • Properly use of PPE and safety protocols for distilling and cleaning.
  • Coordinate with QA staff on product checks.
  • Maintain a clean and organized distillery and food grade facility.
  • Ensure compliance with Food Safety Systems, Good Manufacturing Practices, all Safety workplace standards and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Proof and blend spirits to specifications.
  • Prepare botanicals for gin distillation.
  • Document production volumes and track raw materials receipt and usage for government mandated reporting.   
  • Verify by instrumentation the proof/% alcohol, color, clarity, sugar content, preservatives, temperatures and pH on distilled products.
  • Order raw materials and chemicals to ensure necessary supply for production.   
  • Communicate with various team members about quality issues and enforcing all relevant quality procedures.
  • Optimizes the shift by coordinating rotation of breaks/lunches prioritizing certain lines to keep running depending on day’s plan.
  • Stays to finish all daily/outstanding work before leaving.

Warehouse Technician Lead

Cutwater Spirits is currently hiring a Warehouse Technician Lead to join our growing team.

The Warehouse Technician III Lead position acts as gate controller for all inbound and outbound shipments. They organize and maintain inventory and stock control. They ensure that the storage areas and warehouse is kept clean and tidy, which includes identifying areas where processes could be improved. The Warehouse Technician III Lead is responsible for the accurate pulling, monitoring and record-keeping of all outbound shipments and the receiving and distribution of deliveries. They utilize reports to maintain their knowledge of the warehouse inventory. The Warehouse Technician III Lead prepares and processes all paperwork relating to the shipping of orders for customers. This position works under the loose general direction of the Director of Supply Planning.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Managing inbound/outbound shipments and schedule.
  • Stack and palletize finished product and prepare for storage.
  • Coordinating shipment schedules with Production and Supply Chain teams.
  • Manage finished goods inventory.
  • Manage packaging materials inventory.
  • Maintain inventory for sales racking.
  • Use a forklift to move materials and finished products.
  • Shuttle packaging between warehouses utilizing company truck.
  • Unload packaging materials from pallets.

Warehouse Technician

Cutwater Spirits is currently hiring a Warehouse Technician to join our growing team.

The Warehouse Technician is an experienced Warehouse team member who supports warehouse activities transporting raw materials and finished goods throughout the distillery, loading and off-loading of trucks for receipt/shipment, and the building and delivering of Tasting Room orders using the forklift. This position works under the direction of the Director of Supply Planning.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Using forklifts and pallet jacks to transport finished goods and raw materials around the warehouse.
  • Loading and unloading of trucks at dock.
  • Arranges and stages finished goods loads for orders, aligning with production schedule to ensure timely staging of finished goods orders for shipping.
  • Escalates issues to management
  • Receive and distribute raw materials throughout organization.
  • Stack and palletize finished product and prepare for storage.
  • Use a forklift to move materials and finished products.
  • Shuttle packaging between warehouses utilizing company truck.
  • Unload packaging materials from pallets.
  • Load finished products onto pallets.
  • Maintain cleanliness of primary and secondary warehouses.

Production

Cutwater Spirits is currently hiring a Production team member to join our growing team.

The Production team member works on packaging lines to complete various tasks necessary to ship finished products from Cutwater Spirits. The Production Team member is responsible for: can-filling machinery, bottle-filling machinery, boxing machinery, pallet wrapping machinery, and other general production operations. This position reports to the Production Manager.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Work on packaging lines (canning and bottling)
  • Use a forklift to move materials and finished products
  • Unload packaging materials from pallets
  • Load finished products onto pallets
  • Maintain cleanliness of the distillery warehouse
  • Follows SOPs to ensure that products are packaged consistently
  • Works closely with the Production Manager to ensure smooth operation of packaging machinery and equipment
  • Performs daily start-up and clean-up procedures on all assigned packaging stations
  • Works with maintenance employees/personnel to assist with equipment problems and troubleshooting
  • Performs daily basic maintenance for machinery
  • Assists in the production records management
  • Works to achieve packaging/distribution short and long-term goals and metrics
  • Adheres to all safety precautions, rules and guidelines

Preferred applicants will have:

  • Prior food/beverage production experience
  • Prior forklift experience
  • Prior shipping/receiving experience

This is an active role where you are required to be on your feet all day.
